Guadalajara, Jalisco. Bruno Martínez, our CEO at Kampus Desarrollos, recently assumed the presidency of the Industrial Parks Association of Jalisco (APIEJ), and with it the mission of consolidating the association as a national reference that promotes the innovative and sustainable development of industrial parks and the attraction of investment in Jalisco.

Along with Bruno Martinez as president, also serving on the association’s board of directors are: Marian Garibay of American Industries as vice president, Maria Falomir of Corporate Properties of the Americas as secretary, Rafael Torres of Habi as treasurer, Eduardo Lafaire of Parque Industrial Guadalajara as commissioner, Adalberto Ortega of Vesta as vocal, Karla Colunga of Kiva as vocal, and Juan Fernandez of Prologis as vocal.

During the ceremony, Bruno Martinez shared his enthusiasm and commitment to this new responsibility. He also expressed the importance of working in collaboration with the authorities, investors, and businessmen to develop the necessary infrastructure and guarantee the availability of resources, such as energy and water, for the industrial parks. He also emphasized the importance of establishing a direct channel of communication with the government to streamline procedures and permits, providing companies with certainty and confidence in their installation in Jalisco’s industrial parks.

In addition to strengthening traditional industrial parks, our CEO recognized the need to support and develop last-mile or simplified format parks, which play a vital role in attracting companies that, for various reasons, require fewer square meters. He also stated that the success of industrial development in Jalisco also depends on close collaboration with other industrial chambers and associations, such as the Mexican Association of Private Industrial Parks (AMPIP), INDEX, CMIC, CANIETI, and Industriales Jalisco.

Bruno Martinez also highlighted the challenge of the growing phenomenon of nearshoring, which has experienced growth in recent years and will continue in the future, noting that this is Mexico’s decade. He explained that several advanced manufacturing logistics and high-tech companies are interested in establishing their operations in Jalisco, which makes it an attractive state due to the ecosystems that have been generated in these sectors. The geopolitical changes in the United States have been a catalyst for Mexico to become even more attractive for new investments and reinvestment of existing companies.

APIEJ, under the presidency of Bruno Martinez will work in close collaboration with the relevant actors in real estate development in the state, with the objective of promoting the arrival of companies derived from nearshoring. The goal is to take advantage of the factors that make Jalisco attractive for investment and promote solid and sustainable economic growth in the region. With the new presidency, APIEJ is positioned as the key player in the innovative and sustainable development of industrial parks in Jalisco.
